How does crafting work in Path of Exile 2?
Crafting in Path of Exile 2means applying currency to an item to add, remove or reroll its random modifiers. Each item class has its own pool of modifiers split into prefixes and suffixes, and every modifier comes in tiers whose availability depends on the item's item level and whose likelihood depends on its spawn weight. Because each currency changes the item under different rules, the cost of reaching a specific set of modifiers is a probability problem rather than a fixed price. This simulator rolls against the real modifier pools, so you can try a crafting plan and see what it would have cost before spending anything in game.
